Castle Newnham and Hollands Smith launch ‘Chromebook Quest’ – local businesses called to bridge the digital divide
Wed 15 Oct 2025
We’re proud to be supporting Castle Newnham School in launching the Chromebook Quest - a community campaign to raise £8,400 for 30 new Chromebooks, helping pupils across Bedford gain vital digital skills.
The initiative invites local businesses to get involved by part or fully funding a device (£280 each), supporting equal access to technology and learning opportunities.
“We see every day how important these tools are for children’s learning – and having a daughter at the school, I understand the real impact they can have,” says Rob Smith. “As a local business, we’re proud to support this initiative and would encourage others across Bedford to get involved. Even a small pledge can make a big difference to a child’s future.”
From Geography to English, Chromebooks are transforming how pupils learn, collaborate, and communicate - helping bridge the digital divide and nurture essential skills for the future.

Together, we can bridge the digital gap – one pledge at a time.
