Golf Challenge for Macmillan

They did it! On Friday 19th June, Simon Hollands and three golfing pals successfully completed the Longest Day Challenge – playing 72 holes of golf under competition conditions in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Teeing it up at 5am, they played four rounds of golf carding 29 birdies between them. The weather was kind and they walked off the 18th green for the last time at 7.30pm for a welcome beverage from the 19th hole (or should we say 73rd?). In previous years the total sponsorship the team has raised exceeds £7,500 for this worthy charity and have, to date, raised over £2,000 for this year’s effort.
